Vb2008 How to show images in ListView from Database

Being programmers you may get requirement to handle with images to save to database and load them into ListView container. I’m presenting a code snippet in Visual Basic 2008 which can be downloaded and can be tested on your end for the ListView items with images retrieved and updated back to the database. You can download C# coding from ListViewImgDb.

Features:

  • Allows to select image using OpenDialog.
  • You can save to database which will be an Access 2003 mdb file located in binDebug folder.
  • You can retrieve images using Retrieve Images button.
  • You can remove image using Remove button which will remove image from database directly.

Requirements:

  • Visual Basic 2008 with Microsoft .Net Framework 3.5

  3. OCR.Net Component: is a .Net component that can be inserted into your application to generate ASCII text from a bitmap, image, or a file such as TIF, GIF, BMP or JPG file.
  4. OCR.Net Barcode Component: is Barcode component that translates one-dimensional barcodes into ASCII text from a bitmap or image file which can process an entire file or selected zones.

Gazzump is an online application for downloading youtube videos, myspace playlists, movies, audio, images, javascript, objects, applications, flash, links and many other things from any web page.

Usage:

  1. Open the Gazzump website and copy the full address of the website you wish to download as shown in the above image.
  2. Click “Download” and wait until it has fully loaded.
  3. Select a format and it will then download and convert the video.
  4. It can take upto 5 minutes depending on the size.
