Here are 10 self-care ideas to try this Easter;

1. Rest;

I don’t need to stress this enough that we are human beings and need time to rest. Most people have two months' worth of sleep to do because they don’t consider themselves when creating a work schedule or when planning their day. Human beings can’t live on coffee alone. We need adequate sleep.

Good News!

Easter is the perfect time to rest. This is a holiday, so you should clear your schedule and adjust your morning routines.

2. Make a Gratitude List;

You have passed three months already. Why don’t you make a gratitude list? Thanking God for all the help he has given you. After all, Easter is all about giving thanks.

You can also create a gratitude list as a means to show your gratitude. Most times it helps in improving your attitude, appreciating things more, and not taking things for granted.

You can start by writing three things you are grateful for every morning throughout the Easter break. This is a great Self-care idea.

3. Take a Social Media Break;

Deactivate your social media accounts for those three to four days you have to spend Easter. Reducing your screen time will help you notice things around you more like your family members, friends, and even yourself.

This is an essential Easter self-care idea. Think of this idea as cleansing your mind. Social media is filled with a lot of negative vibes and you don’t want any of that.

4. Spend time with your Family;

Easter is a fun break with a lot of activities, why don’t you spend quality time with your family members. You can try out any Easter activities to do. Michelle from craftsmorning.com has a lovely blog post on how to make Gold foil Easter eggs. You can check it out here. This self-care idea helps you reconnect with yourself and your family members.

The more you spend time together, the more you understand each other. Build your relationship with your family and enjoy yourself.

5. Try a New Recipe;

Stephanie from 31daily.com has a blog post on simple and festive Easter dinner recipes you might consider making. Trying out new things is always great for your improvement and growth. It also has great benefits like making you feel relaxed and happy. Easter is the perfect time to try out new recipes; you can as well use this time to build a healthy eating relationship.

6. Clear out Your Closet;

The Easter weekend is the perfect time to clear out your closet. You can select the clothes you no longer wear and sell them for money. Not only is that beneficial to your wallet you are also creating space for the new season’s outfits.

Have a closet sale and make a lot of money during the Easter holidays.

7. Shopping;

I love shopping for stuff but never hit the checkout button. Anyway like I said about closet clearouts, you are left with space for your season’s outfit. You can shop for new clothes to match the season and stuff all your heavy coats somewhere. This is a nice self-care Idea. Lounge on your bed with your favourite drink by your left and shop for your favourite spring outfits. You can add in new colours and styles, switch up your look a little bit.

8. Meditate;

Meditation is a great way to reduce anxiety and stress. Most humans suffer from anxiety and are stressed either physically or mentally. You can try taking an online meditation class and release those pent-up energies and find your inner self.

You can also get meditation videos on YouTube for free.

9. Improve your skincare routine;

What is self-care without skincare? You can use this Easter weekend to improve your skincare routine by testing out different products and see which one works for you. You can also watch YouTube videos on how to make a homemade face mask. This is something to keep your hands and mind busy.

Try different skincare products of your choice and see how your skin turns out. Remember your goal should be healthier and glowing skin.

10. Have a pamper day;

Easter self-care is all about doing reconnecting with ourselves and the people around us. Use these three to four days to organize something just for you. Having a pamper day is not selfish so you need to do something you miss doing. Since most of the countries are just coming out of lockdown you might not have done a lot of things you would consider ‘normal’. Why don’t you plan something for that day?

It might be as simple as walking down the beach enjoying the sea breeze and listening to your favourite playlist.

I hope these lists have been helpful. We must remember that self-love is the greatest love of all and if you don’t practice self-care you don’t love yourself.
